Where as school a bit further out may have more on school coachesetc. But in the ofsted report is says that it's GOOD school , not even outstanding, also I have seen their report about where students end up after graduating , and half of them continue till high school , half of them leave , yes some of them manage to enter highly selective schools, like for 2022 5% of students managed to get a place at Highgate. The school is flawed, but tell me any that isn't, including grammar like QE or private like Highgate, but I like the ideals of what it is trying to do and the fact that the school and the community work towards it. It was not a perfect school at all - there was drugs, sexual behaviour and bullying but the culture of the school was so zero tolerance it went beyond a few PHSE chats it was inculcated in the ethos of the whole school. Our DD seems to favour Highgate but I think this is mainly because she will have several friends going there and it is more familiar to her (we live very close). In our experience the teachers are fantastic and very committed, and the school has a great ethos. So, we will very soon have to make the decision between Latymer (the grammar school) and Highgate for DC. At Highgate and UCS, the parents push the kids a lot more than the Wetherby kids hence the higher leaver grades at these schools. SH is very small.
