If it's not clogged, maybe you need a softer flint (I'm trying to understand flint hardness, personally, I think red flints are softer if color is any indicator?). I recently got a zippo from 1999 it has a brand new flint but will not spark I suspect it is the wheel, the spring or the fact its just from 1999 and just old. The hole in the back is the flint spring or flint tube. Spark looks limp, doesn't look like it's had much use so may not be a flint wheel issue. In doing that, the plastic wrapping around the little wire broke and recently I tried adjusting it again and it completely split, now the spark won't make it to the torch anymore. So I’ve cut a small strip of aluminium from a can, bended it and taped it to the side of the lighter. Make sure the wick isint black. It was a new zippo . I’ve had my Zippo for a good 2 years now using it constantly every day since I’ve got it. it's likely overfilled. -Making sure it’s filled with butane. Try gently stretching it to give it more pressure against the spark wheel. Using another lighter to light the Zippo and letting it burn for a few seconds should provide enough radiant heat to dry out the flint- but if it's been over filled, be cautious as the Zippo may ignite in places you didn't expect. Sounds like you have tried to replace it in every way that could be recommended. One pack of flints will last almost a year. It will light with a secondary flame on the wick. zippo fuel evaporates in the case, it should last you a couple of days depending on temperature, try to keep it away from body heat so the fuel evaporates less fast. If you want it to maybe flicker less you could trim the end of the wick about 1-2mm. I know it's not as satisfying as doing the work yourself, but collectively there is almost no experience with that line of lighters.
